LIVE THE LIFE KID-STYLE

Live the Life kid style – kids activities for an awesome vacation.

Your Virginia Beach vacation is destined for greatness with kids activities to bring out the 8-year old in all of us. Here are some fun things to do with the kids that will definitely increase the happiness quotient for your crew.

It’s something every kid knows: no vacation is complete until you’ve seen your parents flat on their backs zooming down a waterslide. Splash around at Ocean Breeze Waterpark.

Visit some guys who really know how to have fun—the harbor seals at the Virginia Aquarium. Along with the amazing creatures of the new Restless Planet exhibit, the Aquarium inspires wonder year-round. In the cooler months, head out for a whale or dolphin watching excursion.

Keep sibling rivalry where it belongs—the mini golf course. Putt for the title of family champion at one of our indoor or outdoor courses.

Be a field hand for a few hours with sweet rewards. Pick strawberries in Pungo.

Catch a little something for dinner. Pier fishing is an easy way to try your luck dropping a line into the Atlantic at Virginia Beach Fishing Pier, or crabbing in the Chesapeake Bay from Lynnhaven Fishing Pier.

Kids take to this like fish, but a surfer can be born at any age. Learn to shred the waves with surf lessons

Head to a playground, where it’s all about kids activities—and no instructions are needed to have a good time. Fly a kite, skate the ramp or relax with a picnic lunch at Mount Trashmore Park.

Pedal your way to a good time by with a bike or surrey rental.

Kayak with dolphins. Take an ocean kayak excursion and you’ll likely share the waters with a pod of our warm weather visitors.

Head up for the view and climb to the top of the Old Cape Henry Lighthouse. Make it part of a visit to First Landing State Park, a great place for exploring the trails.

Pose with the King. The colossal 34-foot high King Neptune Statue is a favorite photo op spot.

Take the kids to the high seas for some offshore fishing. Take a sportfishing or headboat charter trip to experience a day of major fishing adventure.

Give a kid a great story to tell with a parasail adventure. You’ll rise nearly 1,000 feet into the air over the water – and never even get wet!
