There are many municipal parking lots steps from the Boardwalk on Atlantic Avenue. Parking lots charge a daily parking fee from April 1 to October 31, with a maximum daily rate of $20.

A dedicated bike path allows visitors to cycle with ease, even when the boardwalk is busiest in summer months. At Cherie’s Bicycle & Blade Rentals, rent cruiser and tandem bikes, as well as surrey bikes (a four-wheel, covered bike that can accommodate several people) and inline skates. Another option for renting bicycles is Ocean Waves Gift Shop on Atlantic Avenue at 32nd Street.

 

Where can I go fishing along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk?
 

One of the best places to drop a line is at the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier, which is located between 14th and 15th streets. Note that there is a fee to fish from the pier: $13 for adults and $6 for children (12 and under). There is a $4 per-person charge to walk to the end of the pier to soak up the views and fresh sea air. No fishing license is required.

At this time, the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier is temporarily closed for repairs. However, normally, it is open 24 hours a day from Memorial Day to Labor Day but closes overnight in the off season. Check the current hours for the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier.
