Several driving routes offer scenic experiences on the way to your destination.
17th Street: Approach the southern streets of Resort Beach via 17th Street, known as the “old gateway” into Virginia Beach, where longtime favorites line your path.
19th Street: Take 19th Street for towering views of the Virginia Beach Convention Center on your approach to the heart of Resort Beach.
Laskin Road: Follow Laskin Road through Virginia Beach’s newest gateway corridor to be greeted by sculptural installations on your way to Resort Beach and Neptune Park.
Shore Drive: Let Shore Drive lead you alongside the natural surroundings of First Landing State Park on your way to Resort Beach’s north end.
The VB Wave Trolley is part of Hampton Roads Transit's regional shuttle system. With a brand new fleet of trolleys running three VB Wave routs, it's the easiest way to get around the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
Routes:
Route 30 Atlantic Avenue Shuttle takes you to shops, restaurants, museums and more, with stops from 2nd Street at the south end of Atlantic Avenue to 40th Street and back again.
SCHEDULE: Catch it about every 15 minutes from 8am to 2am every day from May-September.
31 Aquarium and Campground Shuttle takes you south to campgrounds, tennis courts, fun parks and the Virginia Aquarium. SCHEDULE: Catch it about every 20 minutes from 9:30am to 11:10pm every day from May-Labor Day.
Route 35 shuttle takes you from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront to First Landing State Park, the North End beaches, and all the wonderful Bayfront restaurants on Shore Drive. SCHEDULE: Catch it about every 30 minutes from 10am to 10pm every day from late May through Labor Day, and throughout the weekend only Labor Day- Neptune Festival weekend.
Cash fares are available for purchase on the VB Wave. From May-September, you'll find TVMs on Atlantic Avenue at 13th Street, 17th Street, 29th Street, 37th Street, and 41st Street. Look for mobile pay to start fall 2018.

Virginia Beach Lifesaving Service operates 50 stations between 1st Street & 89th Street and Croatan Beach, along the Oceanfront.
Many of the hotels and motels in Virginia Beach participate in the Find-A-Kid Wristband Program. This free and voluntary program helps parents quickly locate children that wander off from their families by providing an identification wristband at the front desk to children 10 and under. Be sure to ask your hotel if they participate in the Find-A-Kid Program.
