The Virginia Beach Convention Center’s Director of Events and the acting AGM of Sales & Service, Stella Salyer, has been invited to be the guest speaker at the March 3rd meeting of the Old Dominion Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP).
SGMP is a national association for individuals involved in planning government meetings and for the companies who provide facilities or services to those planners. Members include employees of federal, state, and local governments, as well as contract meeting planners, who manage government meetings on a full or part-time basis.
Stella will lead a session that will provide an overview of how COVID-19 has changed how facilities and planners must approach almost every element of events.
In addition to being a valued staff member of the Virginia Beach CVB since 2019, Stella is also a certified Emergency Medical Technician and a volunteer for Virginia Beach EMS.
