November in Virginia Beach brings the best of fall festivals and holiday festivities. Spend your days slurping down oysters and joining holiday bike rides, laughing at comedy shows and watching pickleball pros. Simply put, here are the November events in Virginia Beach you won’t want to miss.

Virginia Beach Jeep Fest

November 7–9
 

Virginia Beach Jeep Fest is the can’t-miss event for Jeep lovers and off-road enthusiasts. Get revved up for a morning beach cruise, a sand obstacle course and a Christmas Light Parade of decked-out Jeeps lighting up the night. There will be live music and food trucks, too. Catch the fun on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk or join in by registering your own Jeep.

Calypso’s 14th Annual Oyster Roast

November 8
 

Dive into oyster heaven at the 14th Annual Oyster Roast at Calypso Bar & Grill on Atlantic Avenue. We’re talking oysters in all forms — grilled, raw and fried. And the best part? It’s all-you-can-eat, so you can indulge in all the sweet, salty, creamy and smooth oysters. This wildly delicious event with live music supports the Virginia Beach Jaycees charity, so you can feel good while you feast.

7th Annual Virginia Bourbon Invitational

November 8

Spend a fall afternoon sipping bourbon samples under the Virginia Beach sunshine at the 7th Annual Virginia Beach Bourbon Invitational. Held at the Historic Cavalier Hotel, this event features over a dozen Virginia distilleries, each showing off their greatest creations. Plus, you’ll get to pair your bourbon samples with tasty tapas from local Virginia Beach restaurants. Tickets are required.

Holiday Lights Bike Night

November 13

Grab your bike (or rent a set of wheels) and head to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk at 2nd Street for a festive family bike ride by the Atlantic Ocean. Ride through a brilliant showcase of leaping fish, merry elves and lively crabs as you pass through a 600-foot LED light tunnel. Holiday Lights Bike Night is a one-night-only holiday season event, so don’t miss out on the two-wheeled family fun. 

American Pickleball Tour: Virginia Beach

November 14–16

Virginia Beach is one of just four cities hosting the American Pickleball Tour in 2025, bringing world-class talent to the Atlantic Coast. Whether you’re a seasoned professional, an amateur looking to compete or simply a fan, there’s a place for you to join the action. All of the games will take place at Pickleball Virginia Beach.

BayPort Credit Union Holiday Lights at the Beach

November 14–December 31 

BayPort Credit Union Holiday Lights at the Beach kicks off in mid-November. Get ready for whimsical elves, jumping crabs and splashing fish, all aglow for an unforgettable evening as you drive through a 600-foot archway of dazzling LED holiday lights. Don’t forget to check out the show-stopping 40-foot-tall dancing lights Christmas tree.

44th Annual Virginia Beach Christmas Market

November 28–30

At the 44th Annual Virginia Beach Christmas Market, talented artisans showcase their handmade creations, including jewelry, stained glass, photography and fiber arts, as well as collectibles and gift-packaged gourmet treats. Taking place in the Virginia Beach Convention Center, this crowd-pleasing event is the perfect place to score one-of-a-kind gifts and stocking stuffers for everyone on your gift list.

ViBe District Small Business Saturday

November 29

Celebrate Small Business Saturday by shopping local in the ViBe District. Made up of over 70 small businesses, this Virginia Beach neighborhood is the ideal place to buy gifts for others or to treat yourself, all while supporting locally-owned and -operated businesses. Find soapmakers and jewelry designers, donut pop-ups and coffee vendors at this fantastic fall event.

Veterans Day Events

Chad1000X Virginia Beach

November 8

The Chad 1000X Virginia Beach is a workout-style event honoring the late Navy SEAL and veteran Chad Wilkinson, who passed away by suicide in 2018. This event aims to raise funds and awareness for veteran mental health initiatives focusing on suicide prevention. Participants can choose to complete 1,000 step-ups individually, with a partner, or as a team, with or without a weighted rucksack. Register for the event on Eventbrite and make a difference in the lives of veterans in need.

Tidewater Veterans Day Parade

November 11

Arguably the most beloved Veterans Day event in Virginia Beach, the Tidewater Veterans Day Parade is filled with classic cars and marching bands, American flag bearers and military marching units. The route starts at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront on Atlantic Avenue, before meandering onto 17th Street, Baltic Avenue and 19th Street. Claim a section of sidewalk before the parade begins and get ready to experience this Veterans Day event in all its patriotic glory.

More than that, the Tidewater Veterans Day Parade is a two-part event. The parade ends at the Tidewater Veterans Memorial, where the crowds gather for a brief memorial wreath-laying in honor of the soldiers who have fallen.

Sandler Center for the Performing Arts

Throughout November

The lineup at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts is starting out strong this November, with the Rumors of Fleetwood Mac (November 2), a tribute band endorsed by Mick Fleetwood himself, and Il Divo by Candlelight (November 4), a critically acclaimed classical vocal group. As the month continues, the holiday cheer begins to seep in, with A Drag Queen Christmas (November 14) and the Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet (November 26). The Dome

Little Theatre of Virginia Beach

This holiday season, Little Theatre of Virginia Beach is tapping into the spirit of “Crazy For You,” a Tony Award-winning musical comedy with a glorious George and Ira Gershwin score. A New York playboy heads west to foreclose on a dusty theatre, only to find himself entangled in a hilarious case of mistaken identity and love at first sight. Get ready for spectacular dance numbers, witty banter, and pure joy. Tickets start at $25.
