Start summer off right with the best events in Virginia Beach this June. Whether you’re into live music, family-friendly movies under the stars or soccer competitions, there’s something for everyone. Without further ado, here’s what’s happening this month in Virginia Beach:

Oceanfront Concert Series

May 27 – August 19, 2026
 

May welcomes the first event of the annual Oceanfront Concert Series, a long line of summer outdoor musical performances loved by locals and visitors alike. Taking place nearly every Wednesday at the 17th, 24th, and 31st Street Parks, these free events feature musicians of all genres. This year, the opener is The Wailers, a vibey reggae group that you won’t want to miss. Bring your beach chairs and blankets, grab some snacks from the nearby vendors and settle in for a wonderful night of music. The concerts typically run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

North American Sand Soccer Championships

June 5 – June 7, 2026
 

You’ve seen soccer played on grass – but have you seen it played on sand? At the weekend-long North American Sand Soccer Championships, watch pros tackle this beloved sport right on the golden sands of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Amateurs are welcome to play too, as the Hampton Roads Soccer Council hosts competitions for both adult age-bracket teams and youth teams.

2026 Virginia Beach Bridal & Wedding Expo

June 7, 2026
 

Planning a wedding sometime soon? Your job will be made much easier with a visit to the Virginia Beach Bridal and Wedding Expo, where you can meet with everyone you’ll need to know as you plan the big day. Chat with caterers, florists, DJs and photographers as you roam the Virginia Beach Convention Center, and get a good chunk of your planning done in one fell swoop.

Chalk the Walk

Each June, the Virginia Beach Boardwalk between 16th and 18th Streets gets a burst of color through an event known as Chalk the Walk. During this free-to-attend event, dozens of aspiring chalk artists from across the region show off their creativity through 4-foot-by-4-foot chalk drawings in any style they can dream up. For the best experience, visit as the artists are crafting their masterpieces, and then again before the first rain washes the stunning art away.

Beach Blanket Cinema

June 18 – August 20, 2026
 

On select Thursday evenings all summer long, the Beach Blanket Cinema puts on free family-friendly movies right on the golden sands of Virginia Beach. All you have to do is bring your beach blanket or chair – and some movie-friendly snacks, of course – to the beach at 29th Street. Movies start at 8:30pm.

JazzTeenth Festival

June 20, 2026
 

Celebrate Juneteenth with the city’s inaugural JazzTeenth Festival at 24th Street Park. This free event honors the African American experience through history, music, visual arts, and more. Come out for a day of culture headlined by R&B powerhouses Keke Wyatt and Vivian Green.

Point Break Music Festival

June 20 – 21, 2026
 

When you feel like getting into a summertime frame of mind, nothing makes for a more enjoyable time than listening to reggae and rock music on the sand. The Point Break Music Festival brings some of the biggest artists in those genres to the shores of Virginia Beach with a two-day concert on the beach at 8th Street. Catch performers like Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Common Kings and Dirty Heads doing what they do best. Single-day general admission tickets start at $170.

Live! On Atlantic presents Latin Fest 2019

La Fiesta Virginia Beach

June 26 – 27, 2026
 

La Fiesta brings two full days of Latin celebrations to Virginia Beach, complete with delicious food, colorful costumes, lively music and so much more. Friday’s festivities are free, so everyone can get in on the fun and even enjoy the outdoor concert at the 24th Street Park. On Saturday, some incredible names in Latin music come to town for the (ticket required) closing concert.

Hampton Roads Pride at the Beach

Show your support for the LGBTQ+ community during Hampton Roads Pride. This three-day celebration features two days of celebrations in nearby Norfolk, and a final day of festivities – called Pride at the Beach – at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Whether you choose to celebrate in Norfolk or on the beach, you’ll find incredible live entertainment, local food vendors and a community of kind, like-minded people.

Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater

Throughout June
 

The Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater is popping off this June. The popular rock band, the Dave Matthews Band, opens the month (June 6). Rapper Jelly Roll takes the spotlight just a few days later (June 10). And country legend Hank Williams Jr. (June 19) brings a catalogue of classic hits to his set. The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts has quite the array of shows this month. Catch the Grammy Award-winning jazz quartet, New York Voices, on June 4 as part of the Virginia Arts Festival. Dive into Irish roots with Celtic Throne II (June 11), a theater performance featuring dance, music and Celtic history. Quite a few noteworthy names are performing at The Dome this June, especially rock musicians and bands. Modest Mouse (June 7) is a major highlight for indie rock fans. Later in the month, Goose (June 15–June 16), a rapidly rising powerhouse in the rock scene, takes to the stage. It’s always a good time at Funny Bone Comedy Club, and the shows this June are no exception. Catch greats like Funny Marco (June 12–June 14), Tony Baker (June 19–20), and Bubba Dub (June 27) this month. For a full list of performances, refer to Funny Bone Comedy Club’s event calendar.

Noises Off
 

Step behind the curtain and into the hilarious chaos of Noises Off, the latest production from the Little Theatre of Virginia Beach. When a second-rate theatrical troupe attempts to stage a flop of a show, the drama offstage quickly eclipses the play itself. From slamming doors and missed cues to flying sardines and tangled romances, watch as the performance spirals into absolute chaos, where anything that can go wrong, will. Tickets start at $25.

Zeiders American Dream Theater

This month, Zeiders American Dream Theater has a couple of performances that deserve some time in the spotlight. On June 6, acclaimed jazz vocalist Kenny Washington shows off his skills. Later in the month, the Children’s Theater of Hampton Roads is putting on two family-friendly productions of The Princess & The Pea (June 20 & June 27).
