Back Bay Brew House Farmhouse

Location: Virginia Beach

We’re happy to announce our Grand Opening will be on September 29, 2018! After six years of partial contract brewing, we are now moving all production in-house for Back Bay Brewing Co. and Back Bay’s Farmhouse Brewing Co.

The journey of the Farmhouse started two years ago when Eddie Hewitt joined Back Bay Brewing Co. as a partner. Eddie had a vision to redevelop the 1912 farmhouse and property, an heirloom of his wife’s family, in order to return the land back to its roots and produce beer and cider. After pitching the idea to Josh Canada, Back Bay Brewing’s founder, the two partnered to open Back Bay Brewing’s second location: Back Bay’s Farmhouse Brewing Co.

The revival of this property has created many opportunities for both growth and experimentation. Our new head brewer, David Achkio, brings over 20 years of professional brewing experience and will oversee development of new farm-style beers, sours and ciders, as well as oversee the production of our core brands for distribution.
