Located just west of the Lesner Bridge and south of the Chesapeake Bay, Pleasure House Point Natural Area is 118 acres of water, tidal marsh, sandy shores and maritime forest.

Ellen Reid SOUNDWALK:
The Hampton Roads region is replete with beautiful outdoor settings—natural areas that invite walking, pausing, and gazing, and cityscapes filled with history. Walks through our beautiful region inspire admiration, imagination, contemplation...but do they also inspire music? Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Ellen Reid believes that they do, and she has created Ellen Reid SOUNDWALK, music specific to diverse environments, available for free via a GPS-enabled app. The experience is guided by the listener: the path you choose dictates the music you hear, and no two visits will be exactly the same.

Reid has created musical settings uniquely designed to illuminate these environments; performed by the world-class musicians of SOUNDWALK Ensemble, the music is tailor-made for the setting and can be experienced while following social distancing guidelines.

SOUNDWALK's premise is simple: Before you head out, just install the free app, and download a SOUNDWALK, hit "start", and begin walking!

Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Brock Environmental Center

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Brock Environmental Center, located at Pleasure House Point in Virginia Beach, is one of the most energy efficient, environmentally smart buildings in the world. The Center has achieved LEED Platinum, which is the highest possible rating the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Program can award. CBF's award-winning environmental education programs are operated from this building and provide significant outdoor learning experiences for thousands of students, teachers, citizens, and community leaders. The facility is also home to local conservation groups, such as Lynnhaven River NOW. Pleasure House Oyster Farm Tour

Oyster aficionados, curious travelers, foodies and water lovers alike can hop aboard the Pleasure House Oyster farm boat tour to cruise the waters of the Lynnhaven River, learn about the legendary Lynnhaven Oyster and slurp up a few succulent bivalves. Groups of up to six people can bring their own bottle of wine and enjoy their choice of a two-hour “Tasting Tour” or a four-hour “Waterman Tour,” which provides a truly hands-on oyster-farming experience.
