Come and enjoy the Fall exhibitions at MOCA featuring Gabriel Dawe, Matthew Brandt, Amy Cutler and Kristin Skees. Dawe uses miles of colored thread to create amazing installations. Brandt’s experimental photography is fearless and playful. Cutler crafts puzzling narratives with pencil, brush, and printing press. Skees is a local artist who ties them all together. Sept. 12th – Dec. 28th.
The Adventures of MR. POTATO HEAD is an exciting hands-on traveling exhibit featured in the Virginia Aquarium's Changing Exhibit gallery. Join MR. POTATO HEAD, the much-loved silly character, as he becomes an astronaut, explorer, scientist, and undersea adventurer with a change of his "parts.” The exhibit is free with paid Aquarium admission or membership. Oct. 18th - May 10th.
Take a shiny journey into nautical, holiday, and adventure lands – all along the beautiful Virginia Beach boardwalk. Festive fish, jumping dolphins, frolicking porpoises – all in bright, colored lights against the clear night-time sky, are the stars of McDonald’s Holiday Lights at the Beach. They are joined by Santa, elves, and a 40-foot tall Christmas tree erected on the beach! Nov. 19th – Jan. 3rd.
