The Neptune Festival is a private, nonprofit organization that produces more than 40 events in Virginia Beach each year. From free concerts and seaside wine tastings to athletic events and a 36-block long celebration on the boardwalk – they’ve been Celebrating the Beach Life since 1974!
With events hosted all year long, including Spring and Fall Wine Festivals, Coastal Craft Beer Festival, Symphony by the Sea Concert Series, Seniors’ Gala and more. Its signature event is Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend, which will always begin on the last Friday of September.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people celebrate at the festival’s many offerings. Daily concerts at two festival stages feature 20+ performances from local and national bands and DJs. On the boardwalk, you can find more than 200 artisans displaying handmade work at an Art & Craft Show.
Keep walking to find 22 magnificent sandsculptures created by world-renowned international sculptors at Neptune’s International Sandsculpting Championship.
