Yorkie's Modern Deli

Location: Virginia Beach

Welcome to Yorkie's Modern Deli!

With 30 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry, Kip Poole developed a curiosity and appreciation early on, for sustainable farming/cooking and education.

Poole put his newfound appreciation for farmers and growers into action as Executive Chef for the Virginia Beach City Public Schools scratch cooking program where he began showing our youth what local really means. Recognizing untapped potential in students, Poole founded The CROP Foundation to mentor aspiring chefs and improve food education while maintaining an active presence in the culinary scene, appearing on Guys Grocery Games and The Big Brunch with Dan Levy.

Today, Poole’s life revolves around teaching, cooking, and creating opportunities for young culinary talents, driven by a commitment to culinary excellence and improving food education.

OUR GOAL

To create a culturally and financially inclusive hospitality experience with an emphasis on closed-loop simple cuisine. With a menu driven by local farmers, growers, artisans, and our own humble on site gardens, we aim to achieve the epitome of sustainability.

At Yorkie's, we believe in the power of good food to bring people together, fostering a sense of community through every bite.

Join us on this culinary journey where convenience meets consciousness, and let Yorkie's be your go-to destination for a delicious, sustainable, and community-driven dining experience.

Wisps of Willow

Location: Virginia Beach

I started my floral career at The Fresh Market in Hilltop when I was in my late teens. I started traveling, opening new locations, training new florist and running one of the largest floral departments for the company in my early 20s. It was a major introduction into the floral industry, and I learned so much at such a young age. Over the years, I also broadened my skills by interning at Heidi's Flowers which was located off of Great Neck Road. From there I ran two locations at Virginia Beach Florist as the General Manager and lead Wedding Designer. In 2018, I decided to venture out on my own and start what I've always dreamed of. I opened Wisps of Willow Florist. Since then, I have become the florist for The Historic Cavalier Hotel and many other amazing companies and clients. In 2023, I opened my first B&M location in The ViBe Creative District of Virginia Beach, located at 2006 Mediterranean Avenue.
