As owners of Taste Tidewater and Taste Virginia Tours, Rex and Lisa Hamaker are life-long locals both tracing their ancestors back to some of the first English Colonists in Virginia. They wanted to create an experience for locals and tourists alike to show people the best food, brews and vines the area has to offer. As the nation’s first colonized region, Coastal Virginia set the tone for what would become the Birthplace of American Cuisine ®, and we invite you to come learn more about it with the only tour company that has the passion and life long knowledge that Taste Virginia does!
