This African-American church was est. in 1860 by several slaves who worshiped with their Masters at the Ebenezer Methodist Church which was then located in the current Haygood section of Virginia Beach. It is the oldest African-American church still standing in Virginia Beach, or what was once known as Princess Anne County.
