VBGIGs (Virginia Beach Globally Inspired Gatherings) returns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6 in the Zeiders American Dream Theater with the Grammy Award-nominated folk and multicultural band American Patchwork Quartet!
The performance is free and open to the public. Register online in advance to reserve your spot. Those without advance tickets will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on available seating.
American Patchwork Quartet, founded by multi-Grammy Award-winning guitarist and vocalist Clay Ross, and shaped in collaboration with an ensemble of internationally celebrated musicians, binds timeless American folk songs with jazz sophistication, county twang, West African hypnotics and East Asian ornamentation.
Their debut, self-titled album was nominated for the Grammy Award for best folk album at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
In alignment with the City of Virginia Beach Arts Plan 2030, VBGIGs encourages attendees to learn about neighbors near and far to spark cultural curiosity through the performing arts. Children will receive a VBGIGs passport and collectible destination stickers to track the world regions they "visited" at VBGIGs performances.
