Richard Rogers had two main writing partners throughout his career, Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein. When Hart died in 1943, Rogers turned to Hammerstein for the partnership. All together, these songwriting partners wrote music for some of the most well-known theater productions and films of their time; South PacificThe King and IThe Sound of MusicPal JoeyA Connecticut YankeeOklahomaCarousel, and songs like My Funny ValentineMy Romance, You are Too BeautifulWhere or WhenSome Enchanted Evening.
