Nature Excursion – Eastern Shore Collection

Explore Kiptopeke State Park's shallow, sandy shoreline, and Cape Charles' valuable grass beds as we look for juvenile fish and invertebrates in their natural habitat. Led by an Aquarium naturalist, join us as we seine, dip-net, and identify the creatures that call this habitat home.

Participants will meet at the Aquarium and be transported via van to the Eastern Shore to explore Kiptopeke State Park and Cape Charles. Please wear clothes and closed-toed shoes that can get wet, as the group will wade through the shallow water. Bring a change of dry clothes. Due to the nature of the program, all participants must be 8 years and older. Guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by a participating adult. This program is weather-dependent.
