Convention Sales Manager Amy Overstreet was recently selected to serve a one-year term as the Supplier Director and Fundraising Chair for the Old Dominion Chapter Society of Government Meeting Planners. In this role, Amy will plan and organize all chapter fundraising events, solicit donations, prizes and sponsorships, write articles and reports for the quarterly newsletter and assist the treasurer. Amy joined the Convention & Visitors Bureau in April and brings a wealth of hospitality sales experience and industry service to the department. Her dedication to the tourism industry includes past board service on the Education Committee of the American Bus Association Marketplace. In her current role with the bureau, Amy is responsible for building connections and generating meeting and convention business for the city. Her territory covers all state, regional and national government accounts and all national associations in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast region. Congratulations, Amy, and thank you for enthusiasm to “Bring It To The Beach!”
