Good Vibes Only: Virginia Beach launches new campaign for a safer, more enjoyable summer
As summer approaches, the City of Virginia Beach is setting the tone for the season with a new awareness campaign: Good Vibes Only: Virginia Beach.
This citywide effort is designed to highlight everything residents and visitors love about Virginia Beach, from family fun on the oceanfront to community connection and memory-making, while setting clear expectations to help everyone enjoy public spaces safely and responsibly.
A campaign rooted in community
Created in collaboration with the city’s Communications Office, Convention and Visitors Bureau and Virginia Beach Police Department, the campaign promotes a positive experience for everyone. Residents and guests will start to see creative visuals, digital signage, social media messaging and a public service announcement video roll out ahead of peak summer activity.
Whether you're enjoying a bike ride on the boardwalk or attending a seasonal event, Good Vibes Only reminds us all to look out for one another, follow local laws and embrace the spirit of what makes Virginia Beach special.
What it means
The message is simple: Virginia Beach is open — to good energy, not bad behavior. The campaign encourages guests and residents alike to:
· Be kind and respectful to others
· Follow city safety guidelines
· Keep music and noise at reasonable levels
· Dispose of trash properly
· Report concerns responsibly
To support this, the city is also providing timely traffic updates, public safety tips and helpful resources through the VB Go app, a text alert system and official social media channels.
A city built on connection
Virginia Beach is proud to be a destination for families, friends and fun, and is committed to ensuring it remains a safe and welcoming space for all. Through Good Vibes Only, the city encourages everyone to be part of that effort and help create a summer season full of positive experiences and community pride.
