Join us November 17, 8:00-9:15 p.m. ET for this LIVE webinar as John Van Auken discusses Edgar Cayce on Gratitude and Thanksgiving.
As we approach the harvest season and the Thanksgiving holiday, we often reflect back on the year and the blessings we have encountered, even in these challenging times. By exploring the true meaning of “thanks-giving” and gratitude, we can transform this time into one of spiritual awareness that adds deep personal meaning to this holiday—and every day!
Renowned Cayce expert John Van Auken will share Edgar Cayce's insights into the magic of gratitude and thanksgiving as well as wisdom from others who have learned how important the daily practice of these two attitudes are to living a happier, healthier, more abundant life.
The miracle of these concepts is that they change our perception, causing us to see the world from a better, more optimistic viewpoint. Cayce often encouraged us to let our better selves come through in daily life—and our better selves naturally feel gratitude and thanksgiving. "Keep bright, sing often, pray your own blessings of how much you have to be thankful for, if you would keep in the spirit of truth." (ECLS 5182-1) He also advised us to, "So conduct your own life as to show your appreciation of that which you have received." (ECLS 254-115) Self-help author Melody Beattie wrote: "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
John will also share some of the origins and history of the American Thanksgiving holiday and the Cayce connection to this tradition in this unique new LIVE webinar.
