The Virginia Beach Spring Craft Market features over 150 fine artists and craftspeople from across the nation offering fine arts, handcrafted jewelry, wood, glass, photography, candles, woven baskets, clothing, toys, folk art and specialty foods. Exhibitors introduce new lines and special accessories for the home and garden including wrought iron, welcome wreaths, garden statuary, birdhouses, outdoor furniture, pottery and wind chimes.
Meet the artisans, learn the stories behind their work and shop for the best in fine arts and fine crafts - from simple to lavish - you'll find one-of-a-kind creations for every budget.
A long-time customer said: "I found beautiful art work for my home, unique stepping stones for my garden, cute accessories for my daughter's room, a gift of jewelry for my friend and the perfect scarf for my mother for Mother's Day." Each piece is a creation from the skilled hands of an American craftsperson. Each purchase supports the history and tradition of true American craftsmanship.
2 great features you won't want to miss at the show
Heritage Celebration!, an area of educational demonstrations by local craft designers and guilds, has been a huge success since its premier presentation in 1997. See and interact with local craft guild members in the gallery. These gifted artisans will demonstrate the techniques and skills used to produce quality American-made crafts. Live demos include: knitting, spinning, sewing, beadwork, quilting, woodcarving and wood turning just to name a few. Bring the kids and let them watch a crafter turn a simple slab of clay, block of wood, or skein of yarn into a stunning and functional work of art.
Vintage Alley will return again this year with an expanded variety of vintage crafts. Vintage Alley is an exclusive showcase area with exhibitors who create functional or decorative works from vintage objects for the home, or who sell up-cycled vintage finds or vintage décor. There is always a nice treasure to be found in this section from vintage linen gifts, to vintage jewelry, to shabby chic style painted furniture, and re-purposed vintage wood gifts. Something for every taste and for every generation!
