Pembroke Mall is taking the pledge to VB Smarter in 2020. In partnership with the City of Virginia Beach, we will adhere to a new set of operational protocols with the safety, security and well-being of our visitors and employees in mind.
Pembroke Mall is utilizing a combination of information from the International Council for Shopping Centers (ICSC), Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the Virginia Department of Health (VDOH). It is our desire to take a leadership role in creating an environment that is safe and healthy for our shoppers, retailers, and employees.
Following are the new procedures that we have embraced:
Masks and daily temperature testing are required for employees. ● Employees with a fever or cold and flu-like symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, runny nose, or body aches are required to stay home. ● Sanitizer stations are placed in prominent areas throughout the Mall. ● Regular disinfecting of the common areas have increased, particularly busy locations such as restrooms, the Kids Play Area, doors, seating, and dining areas. ● Encouraging social distancing practices, including the use of distancing markers such as floor clings and signage. ● Signage reminding shoppers and employees of safety precautions recommended by the CDC. ● Our Kids Play Area is closed through at least Phase 2. ● Our water fountains have been turned off through at least Phase 2. ● We are limiting the number of guests allowed in the Mall Office at one time. ● Events at the Mall have been postponed or reconfigured to allow safe social-distancing space. ● Each employee has been trained on our best practices and standards.
At Pembroke Mall, we have pledged to VB Smarter in 2020.
