At the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront, taking care of you has always been our number one priority, so you can focus on what's most important to you. As part of Marriott International's family of brands, we have implemented a variety of new protocols and elevated practices, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with our high standards of cleanliness and commitment to providing excellent service. We have also made a few adjustments to the services, amenities, and facilities available during your stay. Here is our pledge to you during your stay at Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront: Face Coverings- To promote the health and safety of our communities, face coverings are required for associates at all times, and for guests in all indoor public areas and outdoor spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained. Surface Areas and Public Spaces- In public spaces, the hotel has added to its already rigorous cleaning protocols, requiring that surfaces are treated with hospital-grade disinfectants and that this cleaning is done with increased frequency. In guest rooms, the Marriott has added to its detailed cleaning practices, requiring all surfaces to be thoroughly cleaned with hospital-grade disinfectants. The company will also be placing disinfecting wipes in each room for guests' personal use. These new enhanced cleaning technologies including electrostatic sprayers to sanitize surfaces throughout the hotel. We are using air purifying systems that are effective against viruses in the air and on surfaces. Guest Contact- To help alleviate the risk of COVID-19 transmission through person-to-person contact, the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront will be using signage in its lobbies to remind guests to maintain social distancing protocols and will remove or rearrange furniture to allow more space for distancing. Additional hand sanitizing stations have been placed throughout the property, conveniently located near all entrances, front desk and lobby, all restaurants and restrooms, elevator banks, swimming pools, fitness center, and meeting spaces. Food Safety- In Tulu, Orion's Roof, and Banquets/Catering, all food handlers and supervisors are trained on safe food preparation and service practices. The company's food and beverage operations are required to conduct self-inspection using its food safety standards as guidelines, and compliance is validated by independent audits. The Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront is also enhancing sanitation guidelines and training videos for associates that include hygiene and disinfecting practices. In addition, the hotel is modifying its operational practices for in-room dining and designing new approaches to buffets. Social Distancing Measures & Contactless Experience- We have signage throughout the property to remind guests to maintain social distancing. We have decals on the floor at the Front desk and in front of the host stand in the restaurant to remind guests waiting in line to maintain social distancing. Room cleanliness service upon request only. Valet parking service has been suspended until further notice. Signage throughout the property on social distancing, mask mandatory, and capacity restrictions. Associates- Prior to every shift, each associate at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront is screened daily for Covid-19 symptoms, potential contact, and temperature checked.
