The Cutty Sark Efficiency Motel and Historic Cottages are taking the pledge to VB Smarter. In partnership with the City of Virginia Beach, we will adhere to a new set of operational protocols with the security and well-being of our visitors and employees in mind. The health and well-being of our guests and employees are very important to us. We want our guests to feel confident when staying with us. We practice social distancing and in that effort, have reduced the occupancy by 50% in our small Cutty Sark Motel Efficiencies. Our full efficiencies will now accommodate in comfort, two persons. This will reduce the opportunity of personal contact in our hallways and on our stairs. Our one, two, and three bedroom historic cottages will continue to accommodate families for generations to come. Sanitation continues to be a top priority and we continue to emphasize the importance of keeping our facilities clean and taking extra precautions to sanitize high-touch surfaces. These include, but are not limited to:, -Front desk partition between guest and clerk. -Lobby taped off for distancing during check-in. -Pens are sanitized as well as our room keys. - Hand sanitizer at check-in desk for guests to use as well. -Guest facing employees will wear face masks. -Housekeeping staff will wear face masks and gloves. -High touch surfaces such as registration desk, railings, door handles and knobs sanitized. -In room high-touch surfaces continue to be sanitized including remote controls, light and lamp switches.
