Oceanfront Concert Series
May 21 - September 11
Most Wednesday evenings throughout the summer, enjoy the free musical performances of the Oceanfront Concert Series. With performers of all genres, you might even find a new favorite artist or band. Bring your beach chairs and blankets, snag some snacks from the nearby vendors and settle in for a wonderful night of music. The concerts typically run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Totally Tribute Music Fest
July 3 - July 5
Rock out to some fantastic tunes at the Totally Tribute Music Fest. This free, high-energy festival brings together some of the nation's best tribute bands to celebrate the iconic sounds of your favorite legendary artists from Billy Joel to Tom Petty. Get ready to sing along to classic hits in a lively and unforgettable outdoor concert experience.
Neptune’s Festival Symphony by the Seas Concert Series
July 10
Experience magical evenings by the ocean at Neptune’s Festival Symphony by the Seas Concert Series. These free symphonic performances by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and Symphonicity take place at the lovely 31st Street Park. While there is only one event in July, there are more to come in August. Plan to arrive early to snag a prime spot as the concerts do entirely fill the park.
Beach Blanket Cinema
June 19 - August 21
On select Thursday evenings all summer long, Beach Blanket Cinema puts on complimentary family-friendly movies right on the soft, sandy shore. All you have to do is bring your blanket or chair — and some movie snacks, of course — to the beach at 29th Street. Movies start at 8:30 p.m.
Beach Blanket Movie Festival: Fantasy Fest
July 15 - July 19
Beyond itsThursday movie nights, Beach Blanket Cinema is also hosting a special five-day fantasy fest This year, the festival will showcase several fan favorites, including “Jumanji” (1995), “Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban” and “Wicked”. Movies start at 8:30 p.m. at the beach on 29th Street.
Virginia Beach International Carnival
July 17 - July 21
Get ready for an extravaganza of color, music and culture at the Virginia Beach International Carnival at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. This vibrant celebration of Caribbean heritage features street parades, live music, island cuisine and costumed dancers, all coming together for an unforgettable, high-energy festival.

Stars & Stripes Celebration

Ring in July Fourth with a slew of live concerts at the 17th, 24th and 31st street parks during the Stars & Stripes Celebration. Listen to hours of live music, then at 9:30 p.m., watch the sky light up in a colorful fireworks display that you won’t want to miss.

Celebrate the Fourth of July at Mount Trashmore with live music and tasty food-truck fare. The peak of the festivities will be the spectacular fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free, and parking is $20 per vehicle.

Looking to enjoy live music outdoors this July? Look no further than the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater where some of the best names in music take to the stage under the starry night sky. Listen to country tunes by Dierks Bentley (July 10), hip-hop jams from Nelly, Ja Rule, Eve & Special Guests (July 25), and an eclectic mix of songs by Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, the Turnpike Troubadours and more on (July 29). This month, the highlight of the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts is its Ynot Wednesday Concert series. The Dome

Reopened for the first time since the ‘90s, The Dome has quickly become a hot spot for some of the best music of the summer. Big-name performers of all music genres are set to grace the stage this month, including KEM (July 7), Chicago (July 22) and Whiskey Myers (July 25). Funny Bone Comedy Club & Restaurant

Laugh until you cry with this month’s lineup at Funny Bone Comedy Club. Marlon Wayans is a major highlight with multiple side-splitting shows(July 25 - 27).
