Ricketts. “Winning this award is further evidence of the hard work and dedication our team has to upping our game in the sports event industry.”
Each year for the past four years, the Virginia CVB’s Sports Marketing team has generated an average of 101,500 hotel room night bookings, the majority of which occur between October and May. In 2011-2012 alone, visitors arriving for a sports competition accounted for 9.4% of Virginia Beach’s visitation in the spring and 6.6% in the fall
