Send a unique e-postcard from VisitVirginiaBeach.com to entice friends to visit
(Virginia Beach, Va., April 1, 2014) – When spring is in the air and summer is on the way, locals know what that means – friends and family will soon be visiting. The Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) created a fun and easy way for residents to brag a bit and show the world our resort city at its finest. A new interactive feature was just launched on the Virginia Beach CVB’s Web site – www.VisitVirginiaBeach.com – for locals and visitors to create customized online postcards to email to friends and family.
The Virginia Beach CVB wants our local residents to show the world how they “Live the Life” every day. Virginia Beach is an incredible place to live, work and play. That’s why more than 5.9 million overnight visitors dug their toes in our sand, kayaked with dolphins and experienced Virginia Beach in a myriad of exciting ways in 2012. They shopped, dined – and generated more than $102 millions of dollars in state and city tax revenues. More than 13% of those visitors came to see friends and family. In a few simple steps, locals can connect with friends and family by creating and sending a unique electronic postcard right from a desktop or tablet. Go to the Virginia Beach CVB home page, click on Visitors, then click on Explore and then Create Postcard. Choose from one of 15 gorgeous Virginia Beach images, personalize the front and back of the card, enter an email address – and your one-of-a-kind postcard is complete. Send, save to your desk top … and then send another card! Let’s show our friends and family who live so far away how lucky we are to call Virginia Beach “home.” How many ways can you express how you “Live the Life?” The possibilities are endless.
