The countdown begins to the Virginia Beach Adventure Race

kayaksurfThree more days to go! The week is beginning to heat up with Virginia Beach Adventure Race pre-event festivities. Starting today, a few teams arrive in the resort city along with our Virginia Beach Adventure Race emcee, Rebecca Cardon, personal trainer, Virginia Beach native and reality celebrity from the sixth season of The Amazing Race.

On Thursday, Sept. 16, Virginia Beach Adventure Race hosts its very own Meet Up at Rockafellers Restaurant from 5-8 p.m. Join the fun and meet our Virginia Beach Adventure Race emcee Rebecca Cardon and a couple of the teams including, The Sandfiddlers from Woodstock, Ohio and Team Bad to the Bone Buckeyes from Newcomerstown, Ohio. If this weren’t sweet enough, get a free dessert with the purchase of dinner at Rockafellers. Just download the coupon and present it at the Meet Up.

Let the Virginia Beach Adventure Race begin! Team competitions take place Saturday, Sept. 18th and Sunday, September 19th throughout the resort city.

Also, don’t forget there’s a Virginia Beach Adventure Race sweepstakes launching on Monday, September 20th which will give you a chance to experience some of the activities and attractions the teams are participating in. The Beach Report – July 2, 2010

I think everyone loves celebrating the July 4th holiday weekend; I know it’s one of my all-time favorites! 

Come tomorrow morning, I’ll be all set to head out to enjoy a day down on the sand, basking in the glorious sun and taking advantage of the great mid-80’s temperatures we’ve been having.  On Sunday, my family and I plan to celebrate Independence Day at the Stars & Stripes Explosion, a showcase of great live music at the Oceanfront capped off by a breathtaking fireworks display over the Atlantic Ocean.  If you’re like us, you’ll grab your beach blankets and head down early to snag a few spots in the sand before the “oohs” and “aahs” start at 9:30 p.m. (more…)
