Virginia Beach is an ideal year-round destination, but the end of August is bittersweet. On one hand, the official end of summer is near (no fear - there’s plenty of sunshine and more great weather waiting for us over the next several months!!). On the other hand, it’s exciting that we’re at the onset of a premium event in Virginia Beach: the East Coast Surfing Championship or as we like to call it, the ECSC.
Today starts the beginning of the 28th Annual ECSC and we couldn’t ask for better surf conditions. While no threat to us, several weather patterns in the tropics have made for AWESOME surf conditions in Virginia Beach. The competition for titles is always fierce during this surfing event, but the challenge of choppier water and bigger waves will make for a really good show.
