A new beginning for the gateway to the oceanfront.

Welcome to our neighborhood, now undergoing a game-changing renaissance. Virginia Beach will soon invite meeting attendees to the oceanfront along a pedestrian-friendly avenue lined with new shops and restaurants and dotted with green spaces. The first of many changes slated for the oceanfront area, the result will be a more vibrant and engaging environment for meeting goers and visitors alike.

Part of a multiphase project now underway, the Laskin Gateway will transform this oceanfront approach into an area rich with upscale appeal and friendly main street atmosphere. The $100 million project’s crown jewel will be the multi-use Beach Centre.

Scheduled to open in early 2012, Beach Centre will offer more than 64,000 square feet of new dining, entertainment and shopping options just a few miles from the Virginia Beach Convention Center. With green areas along new and expanded sidewalks creating an improved pedestrian experience and more than 500 parking spaces, this hub of activity combines metropolitan amenities with exceptional access to the oceanfront just blocks away.
