Welcome to Read Books. We (a retired librarian educator and her family) are locating our little bookstore just blocks from the oceanfront in our town of Virginia Beach, VA. If you love a good story, here’s where ours begins.

We love to read books. We also love to gather with other readers to celebrate the magic of stories and the art of the printed page. So, we are designing a store (in a vintage Airstream!) that reflects and values all things reading. It’s aiming to be small, independent, cozy, funky and we hope, welcoming. The collection will be filled with amazing titles recommended by you, our readers.

Jars of Dust is a small pottery shop and studio located near the oceanfront area of Virginia Beach, VA. Nestled in a quiet corner, you’ll find all of your pottery needs under one roof.

When you come in, the first room houses the showroom where you can pick up and shop our handcrafted line of functional stoneware ceramics. If you peer through to the back room, you can see our working pottery studio. This is where we make everything from start to finish. While you’re buying a mug, you could even watch a mug being made from scratch.

Bottles available onsite for purchase include Spirits of the Blue Ridge Vodka, Ghost Pepper Infused Vodka, Lemon Liqueur, Chick’s Beach Rum, Mutiny Island Vodka, Cureo Coffee Liqueur, Dr. Stoner’s Fresh Herb Vodka, Dr. Stoner’s Smoky Herb Whiskey and Dr. Stoner’s Hierba Loca Blue Agave Tequila.

Tastings are available. Per Virginia ABC requirements, patrons may sample spirits (not to exceed four ½ ounces) and/or pre-mixed drinks and are limited to one tasting per day. Tours are available 12:00 pm -4:00 pm on Saturdays at no charge. Please call to schedule a tour or inquire about scheduling a private event.
