Commonwealth Brewing Company is a local family owned, full production craft brewery housed inside a former fire and rescue station. Nestled in a funky beach cottage community (flip flops are mandatory) on the Chesapeake Bay called Chic’s Beach, we believe that beer should be adventurous, diverse, extremely drinkable, and sometimes even wild. We focus on complexity, deep flavors, and style mashups that keep you guessing what we’ll think up next. We think there is a beer for everyone and find no greater pleasure than when our craft beguiles a friend to try something new. We uphold rustic farmhouse traditions, huge hop American styles, and the complex depths of wild fermentation. It is one of the oldest African-American churches still standing in Virginia Beach, or what was once known as Princess Anne County. Church members are currently in the process of collecting memorabilia and artifacts that depict the lives of African Americans in Princess Anne County from 1892 to the late 1950s.
