To make planning your group tour as easy as a day at the beach, the Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau is here to help, both with personal assistance and a wide range of resources.

     

    PLANNING ASSISTANCE

    When you have several days to fill, and the preferences of an entire group to consider, a little guidance can go a long way. Virginia Beach offers ready-made help in the form of suggested itineraries, the Live the Life Adventures program of experiences designed with groups in mind, and packages to help you maximize your budget. Armed with these awesome suggestions for keeping your group happy, we can work together to customize your itinerary and provide help in coordinating your tour.

    TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

    To help facilitate transportation during your event, we put you in touch with providers offering group rates and reliable, consistent service. Options include airport shuttle assistance and motorcoach shuttle services throughout your tour.

     

    STUDENT SERVICES

    Throughout the year, students visit Virginia Beach for fun and adventure, finding endless opportunities for education, enrichment and plenty of excitement. Virginia Beach is a student-friendly destination with more than 12,000 rooms. In fact, there’s a wide range of accommodations suited to student groups, such as hotels with inside corridors, indoor pools, onsite restaurants and security. But most importantly, you’ll find a student-friendly attitude. For assistance in seeking availability of rooms for your group, call the Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau at (757) 385-4700.

    Many options among Virginia Beach’s Live the Life Adventures are specifically designed for student groups, offering educational experiences, performance opportunities, ways to give back and a satisfying balance of energetic activity.

    Beach Safety Guidelines For StudentsTo ensure students’ safety and the safety of others, Virginia Beach provides a summary of activities that have restrictions. For more detailed information, contat the City Attorney’s Office at (757) 427-4531.

    Services Icon ALCOHOL: You must be at least 21 years of age to consume, possess or buy beer, wine and liquor. You may not carry open or unsealed alcohol in public places or in vehicles.
    Services Icon BICYCLES: Cyclists must follow the same rules of the road as automobile drivers, keeping to the right and obeying all traffic laws. Bicycles are allowed on all sidewalks except in the resort area and in Town Center. Bicycles are not allowed on the oceanfront Boardwalk but are encouraged to use the bike path right next to it.
    Services Icon CURFEW: Juveniles 18 years and under are prohibited from public places between the hours of 11pm and 5am, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Exceptions are made for emergencies, and juveniles are allowed to drive to and from work with written permission from a parent/guardian.
    Services Icon MUSIC: Portable stereos must be kept at a reasonable volume to avoid disturbing others.
    Services Icon PLAYING BALL, USING FRISBEES, ETC.: Balls and frisbees are prohibited on the sand beach, the boardwalk and the grassy area west of the boardwalk to the property lines from Camp Pendleton on the south to 42nd Street on the north from 10am-4pm weekdays and 10am-6pm on weekends and holidays, from 6pm on the Friday before Memorial Day through 6pm on Labor Day. Courtesy volleyball nets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at 25th, 30th and 40th streets.
    Services Icon ROLLER SKATES/ROLLER BLADES & SKATEBOARDS: These cannot be used on the grassy area next to the public boardwalk or on bicycle paths, oceanfront parks and plazas, public restrooms and sidewalks, along and east of Pacific Avenue from Rudee Inlet to 42nd Street from 6pm on the Friday before Memorial Day through 6pm on Labor Day. Only roller skates and roller blades can be used on the boardwalk as long as it doesn't interfere with or endanger pedestrians.
     

    INTERNATIONAL SERVICES
