    A 3-day, 2-night Military tour.
Celebrate the glory of our military heritage with fascinating exhibits and up-close views of military might that are sure to make your heart beat faster – and prouder.

Day 1 | A day of aviation, history and swing.
PM: Begin at the Virginia Air & Space Center in Hampton, VA, for hands-on exhibits, a premiere interactive aviation gallery. Then tour historic Fort Monroe and the Casemate Museum, in the largest stone fortress in the U.S. still in active use. Reach your hotel and prepare for an evening of dinnertainment at the Waterman’s Surfside Grille and invite the Doorway Singers for a musical trip back to the 1940’s.

Day 2 | Imagine a life at sea.
AM: Follow breakfast at your hotel with a walk on the boardwalk to the Monuments at 25th Street. Pick up your step-on guide for a view of area history, including Fort Story and the Cape Henry Lighthouses, as you travel to Naval Air Station Norfolk, home to the 100-ship Atlantic Fleet, and the world’s largest naval installation. See aircraft carriers, destroyers, submarines and a collection of period homes.

PM: Then, off to downtown Norfolk for lunch and to board the USS Wisconsin, berthed at Nauticus, the National Maritime Center. This is the last and largest battleship built by the U.S. Navy – discover how it earned five battle stars during World War II. Follow up with a visit to the MacArthur Memorial, final resting place of Five Star General Douglas MacArthur, and home to artifacts and archives of his life. You’ll have lots to talk about over dinner in Virginia Beach’s Town Center, where culinary choices run the gamut, from sizzling premium steaks to yummy pizza.

Day 3 | Thrill to the sound of jets.
AM: After breakfast at local favorite, Mary’s Restaurant, spend a little more time at the oceanfront to explore the shops. Then join a retired pilot for a tour of Naval Air Station Oceana, home to more than 250 jets, including the F/A-18 Hornets. You’ll approach the flight line, and stop at the Aviation Historical Park before lunch at the Officer’s Club where you’ll dine with uniformed officers. Complete your day with a moment at the Tidewater Veterans Memorial to honor those who’ve served.
